Zen Educate are looking for a Assistant Year Leader for a School Based in the Sheffield area.

Purpose of the post:
 To be accountable for the effective implementation, monitoring and evaluation of
behaviour and pastoral intervention strategies aimed at improving students’
engagement in learning as directed by the year leader
 To support the Year Leader in promoting and monitoring the spiritual, moral,
cultural, mental/ psychological and personal development of students within the
year group.
 To carry out key tasks as directed by the Year leader to support inclusion and
behaviour strategies.
 To work with the Designated Teacher for Looked After Children and the SENDCo
to monitor and support progress
 To co-ordinate and support LAC
 To be part of the team working with students at risk of CSE
 To co-ordinate and support children who are young carers
 To work closely with the school counsellors and arrange appointments for
students they see on a weekly basis
 To support safeguarding for all students as deputy safeguard lead.
Key Tasks to Achieve Outcomes:
 To be a visible presence across the school to monitor and support a positive
climate of behaviour and attitudes across the year group.
 To contribute to and uphold the Catholic ethos and aims of the school
 To complete the tasks of a deputy safeguarding lead by responding appropriately
to safeguarding disclosures.
 To complete child protection referrals, document all concerns and pass minutes
to all relevant staff including emergency situations during the school day
 To attend meetings with external agencies and contribute to reports as required
 To liaise with outside agencies regarding potential or actual instances of CSE
 To liaise with outside agencies and to have contact with young people's families
or those with parental responsibilities.
 Respond to and take steps to resolve student related issues involving critical
incidents and unsatisfactory learning behaviour
