Job Title: Auto Electrician
Location: Plumstead, Greater London
Salary: £52,000 - £57,000 Per Annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Auto Electrician to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV), Public Service Vehicles (PSV), and other equipment operating on 24V electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, and systems in HGVs, PSVs, and other vehicles.
Perform testing and troubleshooting of 24V electronic systems, including battery systems, alternators, and starters.
Ensure all electrical systems comply with relevant safety standards.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
Collaborate with mechanical teams to ensure efficient vehicle maintenance.
Keep accurate records of repairs and installations. 

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, with a minimum of 2 years working on HGVs, PSVs, or similar vehicles.
Strong knowledge of 24V electrical systems.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive electrical systems.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
Excellent communication skills and a team player.
Full, clean driving license preferred.
