Credit Controller

Salary: £22,200 - £26,400 + Excellent Benefits

Location: Cambridge, Hybrid Working

Contract: Permanent, Full time (35 hours per week)

About the role

As a key figure, in supporting the financial function of our business, you will be responsible for managing the asset of debt for Cambridge University Press & Assessment, within the global credit policy, by means of on time collection and responsibility in making credit assessment/decisions.

As an experienced credit control professional, aspiring to the highest standards, you will positively influence the credit management department. With your excellent collaboration and communication skills you will support and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Other key accountabilities will be, but not limited to:

Creating and maintaining monthly aged debtor/credit reports in line with monthly credit cycle and deadlines.

Chasing unpaid invoices by phone and email.

*

Dealing with any external and internal queries and resolving on a timely basis.

*

Maintaining up to date notes against each customer record, detailing actions taken and to be taken.

*

Sending invoices and statements as requested, by customers.

About you

*

With your excellent communication skills, good levels of diplomacy and an ability to inspire customer loyalty. You will support our business in this exciting period of growth and change.

A credit control or accounts experience is preferable, but not essential. Alongside your strong Maths and English qualifications, you will possess a confident telephone manner and understand the customer needs.

A positive influence on the team and the wider business, you will have an attention to detail and willingness to learn. You will be adaptable and bring fresh ideas to our ways of working, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders in order to deliver the desired outcomes.
