Based in the beautiful town of Shrewsbury, the Comprehensive school is very much a school of choice providing education to KS3 and KS4 pupils

About the role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in English language and literature to students at KS3 and KS4. The English Teacher will foster a positive learning environment, inspire students to develop their language skills, and promote a love for reading and writing.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (PGCE or QTS preferred).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in teaching English to KS3 and KS4 pupils.
* Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that facilitate active learning experiences.
* Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
* Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary.
* Supervise and support the work of teaching assistants and other support staff.

All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Record Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service along with other relevant employment checks, including oversees criminal background checks, where applicable. All new trustees, employees and volunteers will be required to undertake safeguarding training on induction which will be regularly updated in line with statutory guidance
