Business Development Manager – Construction
Location: Swansea
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Duties & Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
* Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales and grow the client base within the retail fit-out industry.
* Manage and oversee the delivery of shop fitting projects, ensuring they meet client expectations, timelines, and budget constraints.
* Collaborate with internal teams (design, project management, and construction) to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to adapt and refine business development strategies.
Requirements
* Proven experience in account management or business development, ideally within the shop fitting, retail fit-out, or construction sectors.
* Strong understanding of the retail industry, including client needs, project lifecycles, and industry regulations.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships and close deals.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Proficiency in project management tools and CRM systems, along with a solid grasp of budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
