Dispatch Assistant – Ferndown BH21 – Salary £26,988 pa

Are you ready to join an established and prosperous team as a Dispatch Assistant? Our client, a market leader in their industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to enhance their service and knowledge, ensuring a personal touch and fostering strong customer relationships.

Role and Responsibilities of the Dispatch Assistant:

* Placing orders with suppliers in a timely manner to meet ordering deadlines.

* Checking order confirmations for accuracy and correcting any errors prior to dispatch.

* Advising the Sales Team of any order delays.

* Building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continued good service.

* Coordinating the collection of goods to be returned to suppliers and ensuring agreed credits are received.

* Using a forklift to unload deliveries and checking off goods received.

* Picking stock items and packing outgoing parcels, arranging courier collections.

* Assisting with customer collections, loading into vehicles, and occasionally delivering to local customers in the company van.

* Ensuring showroom displays are current and well-maintained.

The Ideal Dispatch Assistant Profile:

* Great organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.

* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

* Physically fit.

* Full driver’s license required, confident in driving larger transit-style vans.

* Current counterbalance forklift license preferred but not essential; training can be provided.

Position Details:

* Location: Ferndown

* Hours: Monday - Friday, 9.00 am to 5.30 pm

* Salary: £26,988 pa
