Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Production Administrator to join our client in Poole in a dynamic engineering team initially on a 4 week basis to cover sickness with the opportunity to stay on a permanent basis.

This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of daily production processes by managing materials, job cards, quotes, and sales orders. The ideal candidate will have experience using ERP systems and will work closely with both the production and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of materials and orders.

Key Responsibilities:

Materials Management:

Book in and check materials for accuracy upon delivery.
Coordinate with suppliers to resolve any material discrepancies.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of materials used in production.
Job Cards and Production Tracking:

Complete and update job cards for ongoing projects.
Ensure that all relevant information is accurately recorded and tracked in the ERP system.
Liaise with the production team to ensure smooth job progression and timely completion.
Sales and Order Processing:

Enter customer quotes and sales orders into the ERP system.
Ensure accuracy of all data related to customer orders, including pricing, lead times, and specifications.
Track and update orders throughout the production process.
Logistics and Delivery Management:

Handle and process delivery notes, ensuring materials are delivered in a timely manner.
Communicate with clients on the status of deliveries, as necessary.
ERP System Use:

Utilize the company's ERP system to manage and monitor material flow, production schedules, and order status.
Generate reports as needed to assist management in decision-making and process improvements.

Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar administrative role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in using ERP systems, with the ability to quickly learn new software tools.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
