Warehouse Operative

Job type: Temporary to Permanent
Location: Carlisle – Rural, own transport essential
Hours: Full-time
Pay rate: up to £13.50 per hour, negotiable, experience dependent

NXT is proud to be working in partnership with a long-standing client as we recruit a warehouse operative to join their friendly and hardworking team. This is a busy and varied role, and responsibilities will include:

* Collecting order documentation and delivery notes from the office throughout the day

* Carefully picking and packing products for daily dispatch

* Planning with the sales team for future orders and optimising packaging strategies

* Safely loading outgoing pallets onto trucks for dispatch

* Coordinating parcel collection and assisting with loading

* Managing incoming stock storage efficiently

* Collaborating on identifying low stocks and initiating re-orders

* Maintaining warehouse safety, cleanliness, and handling waste disposal

Skills and Experience:

* Driving licence required

* Forklift license is required

* Excellent eye for detail and ability to work accurately

* Good numeracy and literacy

* This role involves heavy lifting and manual handling
