About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Systems Engineer on behalf of our client STL, a reputable and growing business based in Arthur Street Central, Lakeside, Redditch. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering team, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and improving the company’s quality systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Quality Engineer to maintain the Quality Management System in line with BS EN ISO 9001:2015 standards.
*
Undertake internal audits, analyse data trends, and drive corrective and preventative actions.
*
Deliver auditor training to junior staff and support development.
*
Prepare and report on internal KPIs, such as scrap percentages and on-time delivery, for production meetings.
*
Record and manage customer Concerns and Responses, ensuring clear communication.
*
Lead and maintain quality processes, adapting to customer-specific requirements as necessary.
*
Assist with 8D and Root Cause Analysis reporting.
*
Maintain and update Control Plans and support process improvement initiatives.
*
Contribute to the ongoing development of the Business Management System.
*
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to support and enhance quality processes.
*
Compile PPAPs (Production Part Approval Processes) and support Initial Sample Inspection Reports when required.
Ideal Candidate
*
Process-driven and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
*
A strong communicator with excellent teamwork capabilities.
*
Ideally degree-educated and eager to grow and develop within the role.
*
Previous experience working with quality systems, especially in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
*
Preferably familiar with PPAP, inspection and testing processes, and Initial Sample Inspection Reports (though not essential).
