About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of English to join a secondary school in Leeds. This role is full-time, starting after Easter 2025, and offers the chance to teach KS3 and KS4 English in an environment that promotes high achievement and personal growth.

Essential Requirements

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Excellent subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.Skills

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.

Differentiate lessons to cater to varied learning styles and abilities.
Use assessment data to track student progress and inform teaching strategies.
Foster a love for reading and writing among students.
Encourage classroom discussions to develop student's verbal reasoning skills.
Develop student's exam and essay-writing skills.
Organise and support extracurricular activities such as writing clubs or drama performances.
Promote a growth mindset and a resilient attitude in students.
