Our client, a reputable and welcoming law firm in Godalming, is looking for a skilled Legal Secretary with a strong background in Conveyancing. This role is focused on providing support within the residential conveyancing department to an Associate. The position requires a local candidate with relevant experience and involves working full-time, five days a week, in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Fee Earner with the day to day running of conveyancing files
* Ordering searches and Land Registry documents
* Opening and closing files
* Liaising with clients and Estate Agents
* Preparing completion statements
* Prepare and submit SDLT forms to HM Revenue & Customs
* Dealing with the Post completion formalities
* Arrange meetings and appointments
* Prepare meeting rooms
Experience and Skills Requirements
* Proficient audio typist
* Make telephone calls and deal with enquiries
* Adaptable and willing to learn
* Attention to detail ad thorough
* Presentable and act in a professional manner
* Be proactive and friendly
* To assist others with duties when required
