Jewson a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Mill Machinist who's as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours - 8.00 - 5.00 Monday to Thursday + 8.00 - 4.30 Friday

Key Responsibilities

Able to understand measurements and customer requirements

Awareness and understanding of health and safety standards applicable to machinery or mechanical handling equipment to be used

Awareness and understanding of health and safety standards applicable to working in a processing plant and storage and distribution site

Ability to carry out routine daily inspections of machinery

Ability to understand, complete and maintain all documentation associated and required by the role

Work towards deadlines and KPIs for order processing

Ability to work as a team player within the timber processing plant and overall site operation

Required Skills and Experience

Previous industry experience preferred but not essential

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work accordingly

Strong communication skills

Confident working both indoors and outdoors

A health and safety focus

Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items
