Are you a visionary Religious Education teacher looking to lead and inspire? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Head of Religious Education (RE) to join our school in Havering, East London, on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Role:
As Head of RE, you will:
* Lead and manage the Religious Education department, promoting excellence in teaching and learning.
* Develop and implement an engaging and inclusive RE curriculum across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
* Inspire students to explore different beliefs, values, and cultures, fostering a deeper understanding of the world.
* Support and mentor teaching staff within the department, driving professional development and innovation.
* Monitor student progress and implement effective strategies to ensure high achievement.
* Contribute to the school’s wider ethos and values, collaborating with senior leadership to enrich the curriculum.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for an inspirational and committed leader who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field.
* Has a strong track record of outstanding teaching and student achievement.
* Demonstrates effective leadership skills, with experience in curriculum development and team management.
* Is passionate about Religious Education and its role in shaping students’ personal and academic growth.
* Possesses excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to engage and inspire both students and staff.
