Major Recruitment are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer for a client in Leeming Bar area. Our client is a well-established manufacturing businesses with an impeccable reputation for quality of products and services.

Due to substantial growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

Duties:

Mechanical fault finding/repairs to PLC controlled plant - includes pneumatic and hydraulics
Thorough understanding of EHS and a safety culture and familiar with safe system of work (Permit to Work systems)
Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
Strong communication and organisational skills - able to provide detailed shift reports
Experience of working as part of a Maintenance Team on a manufacturing site
Demonstrate effective systematic problem-solving skills
Able to work autonomously and react quickly in a high-pressure situation
Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Role Requirements:

2 Years+ Electrical / Electronic Practical Production Engineering Experience.
Proven track record in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiative
Proficient in electronic fault finding, soldering, and electrical wiring
In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control
Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 8D)
Competent in electronic fault finding.
Understanding of safe working practices.
Experienced in root cause analysis and problem solving.
PC literate and competent computer skill
