Role: 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Lewisham, South London

Contract: Full Time/Part Time

Remedy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant who is willing to support key stage 3 pupils with Autism and ADHD. 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant you will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student.

The ideal candidate:

Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.Requirements:

Previous child-based experience: A proven track record of working with children in an educational or supportive capacity.
Experience with SEND: A solid understanding of and experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
DBS on the update service: A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
Passion for education: A genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the educational development and well-being of young individuals.The role:
