Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Lock Keeper to be engaged on a contract basis, based in Barton Upon Humber, Lincolnshire.

Minimum Requirement:
Must be flexible. Work on river and coastal defences. Assist with allowing boats in from the Humber and Out on to the Humber. Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, and welfare arrangements are always met, participating in a wide range of activities relating to the rivers. The candidate will be working with one other Lock Keeper and the whole process takes 3 hours. They will operate hydraulics to lift a road, and stop the traffic whilst they then allow boats in and out of the lock into the sea.
