Maintenance Engineer

A rare opportunity has arisen with an established Engineering company in Huddersfield

To maintain all machinery and assist in the installation and building of new manufacturing equipment.

Main duties
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of site mechanical and electrical
installations and equipment.
•
To ensure that all equipment and installations are repaired / maintained in a safe and effective manner

To assist in the building and modification of electrical / mechanical equipment on site

Carry out preventative maintenance schedules for the
factory machinery and equipment

Proactively identify and implement improvements to working practices and
manufacturing processes in conjunction with the lean manufacturing teams.

Deal efficiently and effectively with machine breakdowns and managing and reducing all aspects of machine downtime caused by electrical and mechanical breakdowns.

Regular safety checks on all machinery

bBe available to provide breakdown cover outside normal hours ( Call out [payments to be paid )

Undertaking and completing project work of a mechanical / electrical / fabrication
nature.
