Huntswood currently has an exciting opportunity for an Advisory Engagement Lead to join our busy advisory team based out of our Reading office on a hybrid basis, with some UK travel.
Reporting to the Director of Advisory Services, you will be Huntswood's lead for independent advisory projects across multiple sectors, including supporting delivery as necessary and be an ambassador for Huntswood across the industry and lead on regulatory, client and industry stakeholder relationships.
The Advisory Engagement Lead will lead a team to identify opportunities to support clients and manage the delivery of multiple client projects across areas of conduct and operational risk. These projects/engagements will include:
Identifying gaps in regulatory obligations or opportunities for improvement
Transforming capabilities or making incremental improvements
Implementing and embedding regulatory change
Providing independent assurance that you are on the right track
Helping to put things right when they go wrongThe successful Advisory Engagement Lead will have:
Expert knowledge and experience in Financial Services regulation, conduct and operational risk related issues and extensive experience across multiple sectors including banking, insurance, consumer credit and wealth and investments.
Comprehensive and detailed understanding of the FCA, including both current and emerging issues affecting firms. This should include working knowledge of COBS, SYSC, DISP, COCON, CASS amongst other key regulatory rules and guidance.
Experience of building relationships with and designing solutions for senior management and executive level stakeholders.
Experience of managing a team to deliver a project. Experience of overseeing multiple projects is preferable but not essential.
Broad knowledge of UK retail Financial Services including regulation, market, competitor activity and industry trends.
Excellent communicator with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
