We are seeking a highly organised Materials Planner to join a leading manufacturing company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing production schedules, maintaining inventory levels and ensuring the timely procurement of materials and services. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in production planning, inventory management and supply chain coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Scheduling: Develop and manage production orders based on sales forecasts and business requirements.

Inventory Management: Ensure accurate inventory levels for materials and components, guaranteeing all necessary items are available for production.

Pick List Creation: Generate and distribute pick lists for warehouse and production teams to ensure timely material availability.

Transaction Monitoring: Ensure all production and material transactions are recorded accurately in the MRP system.

Issue Reporting: Identify and report potential risks related to production or material shortages, collaborating with teams to resolve issues.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively suggest and implement improvements to streamline production and materials management processes.

KPI Reporting: Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to material flow and production timelines.

BOM Management: Maintain and update the Bill of Materials (BOM) to support accurate planning and forecasting.

Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and accurate ordering of materials.

Engineering Change Management: Oversee any changes to BOMs, ensuring proper coordination with relevant teams.

Project Updates: Provide regular updates on material availability and project progress to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in materials planning, production scheduling and inventory management within a manufacturing environment.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, particularly Navision, is highly desirable.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
