Job Title: CNC Setter Operator
Location: Exhall, Coventry
Shift: Monday to Friday (7am - 4:30pm, Mon - Thurs & 7am - 12:30pm on Fridays)

Salary: £16 - £18

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Setter Operator to join our team in Kingswinford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our CNC lathes, delivering high-quality components in line with production schedules and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

* Set up and operate HAAS CNC Machines: Prepare and configure CNC machines, including tooling, fixtures, and programs, to produce precision components.

* Program adjustments: Make necessary adjustments to CNC programs to optimize performance and ensure accuracy.

* Inspection and quality control: Conduct first-off inspections and regular quality checks to maintain adherence to specifications and tolerances.

* Maintenance and troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on machinery and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime.

* Production monitoring: Ensure machines run efficiently and meet daily production targets while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

* Read and interpret technical drawings: Work from engineering drawings and specifications to produce components accurately.

* Collaboration: Work closely with the production and engineering teams to continuously improve processes and ensure optimal machine utilization.

Key Requirements

* Proven experience as a CNC Setter Operator, specifically with lathes.

* Strong understanding of CNC programming (Fanuc or similar controls preferred).

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

* Knowledge of measuring equipment and inspection processes.

* Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

* Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Awareness of health and safety standards within a manufacturing environment
