Senior Quantity Surveyor – Scotland Wide – Up to £70k DOE + Car Allowance + Package
First Task Professional are currently working alongside a civil engineering contractor who are gearing up for an extremely busy few years with multiple wins within big civil engineering projects in the energy / power sector.
As such, they have a requirement for Senior QS’s to work on projects in both the delivery stages and pre-construction.

Naturally, most substations and converter stations are in more remote locations… so there is a high likelihood of having to work away (with hybrid working) for the jobs.
Responsibilities:
* Manage projects to ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-efficiency.
* Collaborate on joint ventures, building strong relationships.
* Lead contract negotiations for maximum profitability.
* Mentor teams and enhance operational performance.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
* Supervise and guide the commercial team.
* Manage commercial relationships with clients and subcontractors.
* Oversee cost performance data and report preparation.
* Ensure timely payment applications and provide contractual advice.
* Handle financial aspects of insurance claims.
* Manage team workload and time effectively.
Requirements:
* Experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or advancing Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial skills.
* Familiar with NEC contracts.
* Proven ability to mentor and collaborate with project teams.
* Confident team player with a positive impact.
* Relevant qualification (Degree, HNC/D).
