ROLE: BUILDING SURVEYOR

LOCATION: Based in Kent. Set in the beautiful Countryside with free onsite parking, close to a town centre so you will have the benefits of local shops and amenities.

SALARY: £36K - £50K plus benefits, electric car scheme, pension, a great working environment, continuous learning and development, opportunities to complete your RICS/ APC if desired, profit related bonus scheme, team building days, private medical insurance, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays and your birthday off!

HOURS: Permanent, full time, Monday- Friday. Flexible working, core office hours.

As a Building Surveyor, you will be part of a friendly team, providing professional consultancy services; delivering high-end new build and refurbishment turn-key projects; maintaining long-term relationships with clients, mainly Building Contractors within Local Authorities, Healthcare, Education, Residential, Heritage/ Conservation and Commercial Sectors across Kent and the Southeast.

Day to day duties will include:

*Carrying out feasibility studies.

*Providing commercial property professional services – dilapidations.

*Carrying out project design and specification writing (NBS).

*Preparing costings, programmes for completion.

*Compiling specification of works.

*Undertaking measured building surveys and site inspections.

*Preparing tender documentation and contract administration.

*Advising on appointing contractors, designers and procurement.

*Dealing with planning applications, property legislation and building regulations.

*Ensuring projects are completed on budget and to schedule.

*Looking for ways to make buildings sustainable.

*Preparing insurance assessments and claims.

You will be a Building Surveyor with a professional qualification in Surveying and at least 2 years relevant experience in a Commercial Surveying environment. You may have an RICS accredited degree and have or be working towards your MRICS/ MCIOB.

You will be a professional Building Surveyor, with strong communication / organisational and time management skills, sound technical knowledge and report writing skills as well as good attention to detail. You will need to be fully conversant with statutory processes, have a good understanding of UK Building Regulations & Planning Processes and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Your current/previous jobs may include Analyst Building Surveyor, Building Surveying Consultant, Chartered Building Surveyor, Surveying Technician, Chartered surveyor, Commercial Surveyor, Construction Building Surveyor, Surveying Project Manager, Lead Surveying Consultant or similar.
