Our client is looking for a proactive and organised Finance Assistant to provide essential support to their Finance Team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. Starting in mid-October and based in Redcar (Wilton) the role can be full or part time (3-4 days per week, with flexibility for additional hours during busy periods).
  
You will focus on a variety of financial tasks, including credit management, insurance renewals, and capital expenditure reporting.
  
Your key responsibilities will be:

Request and manage credit limits, prepare turnover declarations, and handle credit renewals with brokers
Assist with insurance requests and renewals
Perform balance sheet reconciliations of related GL accounts
Manage capital expenditure, including sanctioning, reporting, and capitalisation.
Process rebates, commissions, and approvals in SAP
Support month-end tasks, including journal requirements
Prepare and process credit card statements and employee expenses in SAP
Provide treasury support: follow up on AR collections, process vendor payments, and perform bank reconciliations   
You will have:

An AAT qualification preferred or equivalent practical experience
Solid understanding of financial procedures, with hands-on experience using SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel and advantage
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across all tasks
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both internal teams and external partners
