Overview:
Our client, one of the most established brands in the country, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Site Manager to lead the construction of a 140-unit housing development on the Dorset and Wiltshire borders. This project offers the perfect mix of timber frame houses and traditional low-rise apartments, presenting a unique challenge for the right candidate.
Main Duties:
Lead Project Delivery: Oversee the successful completion of the 140-unit housing development, ensuring it is within budget, on schedule, and meets quality standards.
Team Leadership: Manage and motivate site personnel and subcontractors to ensure efficient site operations.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all construction adheres to relevant building regulations, Health & Safety standards, and company quality benchmarks.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues proactively as they arise.
Communication: Act as the main communication hub between the project team, subcontractors, and the client, ensuring smooth project execution.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure the project is delivered to the highest standard.
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior Site Manager, specifically on large-scale housing developments.
Extensive experience with timber frame and traditional construction methods.
Strong understanding of building regulations, health and safety, and quality control procedures.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage a diverse team.
Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
A valid CSCS card and SMSTS qualification.
