Ward Manager - Preston, UK

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Ward Manager to lead the nursing and support team and ensure the highest standards of clinical care are maintained.

The role:

Lead and manage the nursing and support team, ensuring effective delivery of patient care within a 14 bedded inpatient rehabilitation service
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ward, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organisational policies.
Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff, promoting professional development.
Manage ward budgets and resources efficiently.
Engage with patients and their families, addressing concerns and providing support.
Permanent, full time Monday to Friday 9am-5pm Ideal candidate:

Registered Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC pin.
Experience of managing services within similar settings
Significant experience in a clinical nursing role, with prior leadership experience preferred.
Strong operational resilience and ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in nursing clinical skills and patient assessment.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
