Role: Production Planner
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Location: Fife
Hours: Monday to Friday (flexibility required for ad-hoc early starts)
Job Overview:
Protea Recruitment is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to support the Supply Chain Manager in the day-to-day operations. This role will focus on production planning and stock management to drive efficiency within a fast-growing business. As the company evolves, responsibilities may expand, offering opportunities for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
* Plan production for the factory.
* Manage finished goods stock levels and oversee supply to distribution.
* Order raw materials and manage supplier forecasts.
* Track stock movement and investigate discrepancies.
* Assist in ad-hoc supply chain tasks, such as stock counts and goods-in.
* Develop relationships with internal teams (production, finance, distribution).
* Contribute to projects and process improvements.
Qualifications:
* Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, Pivot Tables).
* Experience in planning within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
* Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work autonomously.
* Continuous improvement mindset and ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills across all levels.
Other:
* Flexibility for occasional tasks like stock counts.
