Working Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Rate: £400+ per day - open to discuss
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Section Engineer to oversee and manage engineering operations on the NEAR Scheme at the M25 J25 Water Aquatic Centre. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards, while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Supervision: Manage site operations, ensuring engineering tasks are delivered to specification and within set timeframes.
Health & Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety on-site, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Technical Assurance: Monitor technical accuracy and quality of works, identifying and resolving engineering issues as they arise.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary engineering contact on-site, liaising with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Documentation: Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and reports as required. Maintain detailed site records to support project completion and handover.
Coordination: Work closely with the site team and support the Section Manager in organizing resources and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines.
Surveying & Setting Out: Oversee site surveys and setting out for construction works, ensuring accuracy in measurements and alignment.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Proven experience in a similar role within infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of setting out, surveying, and construction processes.
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental management systems.
Ability to interpret and manage technical drawings and specifications.
Proficient in using relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Total Stations, etc.).
Desirable:
Previous experience working on Highways or infrastructure projects.
CSCS card (or equivalent).
SMSTS or SSSTS certification
