Berry Recruitment National Branch are currently looking for Chef de Parties in Birmingham.

About the Role -

An exciting opportunity arise for a Chef Supervisor to work within our catering team here at HMP Birmingham, B18 4AS, this is a role that involves working with & supervising our Prisoner Workforce.
This role is suited to a Chef with a conscientious and innovative approach who will develop and has the commitment to deliver exceptional service in line with our customers and client demands. This is a customer facing role and requires a proactive individual.

What you will be doing -

Work with a team of chefs and enhanced inmates to deliver meals, 3 times a day
Supervising and assisting enhanced inmates in the kitchen
Work alongside prisoner work forces and assist them in cooking meals and preparing food
You will be responsible for the preparation of basic quality foods within a set pre ordered menu
Effective and efficient food production in line with recipe sheets
Full knowledge of all menu items served
Ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy
Fill in all relevant paperwork and due diligence formsThe ideal candidate -

Undertake relevant training as required
Experience
Must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years and have legal right to work
Relevant culinary qualification
Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
Previous supervisory experience
Experience working in a large scale kitchenPerks of the role -

Supervising and assisting enhanced inmates in the kitchen
Working full time 35hrs per week, 4 shifts a week, alternate weekends
Shifts ranging between 07:30 - 17:15, no late evenings
