The Role:
The school is looking for an enthusiastic DT Teacher to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, inspiring students aged 11 to 18 in various aspects of Design and Technology. This role is ideal for an experienced DT Teacher or an NQT eager to develop their career within a dynamic and supportive school environment. As a DT Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering practical and theoretical lessons, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level exams, and promoting creativity and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching Design and Technology to students aged 11 to 18, across Years 7 to 13
Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level DT exams, ensuring they achieve their full potential
Delivering engaging, hands-on lessons that promote creativity, innovation, and technical skills
Supporting the development of the Design and Technology curriculum and contributing to extra-curricular activities within the department
Providing constructive feedback and academic support to help students succeed
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Design and Technology or a related subject
Experience teaching DT at secondary school level, ideally with 11 to 18-year-olds
A passion for Design and Technology, with the ability to engage and motivate students
Strong communication and organisational skills
