About the Company:

Our client is a leading manufacturer specialising in plastic and aluminium extrusion, supplying precision-engineered components to a wide range of industries across the UK and Europe. As their operations continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and proactive Extrusion Operator to join their day shift team in Milton Keynes.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate extrusion lines to produce high-quality plastic and aluminium profiles

*

Set up machines and tooling based on production specifications

*

Monitor machine parameters and adjust settings to maintain consistent quality

*

Perform regular inspections and measurements to ensure product accuracy

*

Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and escalate more complex problems when needed

*

Maintain accurate production records and complete shift documentation

*

Follow all safety and quality protocols to ensure a clean and efficient work environment

*

Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily production targets

Requirements:

*

Previous experience working as an Extrusion Operator (plastic, aluminium, or similar)

*

Good mechanical understanding and ability to work with industrial machinery

*

High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

*

Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers)

*

Strong communication and teamwork skills

*

Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts from Monday to Thursday

Desirable:

*

Experience with both plastic and aluminium extrusion processes

*

Knowledge of quality control systems in a manufacturing setting

*

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
