Head of Year - Manchester - ASAP start
We are delighted to be working in partnership with a Head teacher, who is looking to secure the services of a behavioural-focused pastoral worker, on a long-term supply basis as a head of year. This position will be on a full time basis and is to start as soon as possible, and will be on an ongoing basis.
You may be an experienced, confident TA who is currently available. You may be confident and calm when dealing with extremely challenging behaviour, and be looking for a different challenge in your day. The role of "on call" is to respond quickly to flare-ups of disruption in classrooms - you will be responding to calls from teachers from all over the school - so you will definitely get your steps in!
Your primary role will be to intervene and de-escalate negative behaviour, at the request of the teachers you are supporting. To be truly effective in this role, you must be calm, adaptable and overall, an outstanding communicator! If you have some experience of "on call" pastoral support, this would be advantageous but not essential.
