Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to join a school in Salisbury. We are currently seeking a number of Learning Support Assistants or Teaching Assistants to join this school on a full-time basis.
The School is specialised in educating pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. The pupils come from a variety of backgrounds and either have an Education Health Care Plan (ECHP) or are undergoing statutory assessment.
The school support young people to develop their emotional wellbeing and social skills. As a Learning Support Assistant you will help students cope better with the things they find challenging whether this is during their school day or at home.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will help establish positive and healthy relationships, emotional wellbeing and developing social skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has a background in special needs or mental health and is looking for a new challenging in their career.
Because of the needs of the students, it is essential you have experience with special needs or mental health. We are happy to consider applicants with personal experience in this area.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
Support children with SEMH needs and help them reach their potential in a professional and caring manner
Be reliable and punctual
Actively plan and join in play and youth activities including swimming, ball games, music and more
Be prepared to communicate differently with a wide range of people
Keep records and write reports when required
Always ensure the highest level of safety and safeguarding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
