We're looking for an experienced and driven Bid Writer to join our team and play a pivotal role in securing new business opportunities. In this role, you'll work closely with our Bid and Proposals Manager, crafting persuasive bids that stand out in a competitive market and drive the expansion of our client base.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Proposal Writing and Development:

Craft and oversee the development of customer-focused, compliant proposal content.

Collaborate with technical experts to tailor responses that highlight unique selling points and value propositions.
*
Lead the proposal development process from storyboarding to structured submission.
Bid Coordination:
*
Manage and integrate inputs from cross-functional teams, including sales, technical, legal, finance, and project management.
*
Ensure a coherent structure across all bid components and supporting documentation.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
*
Conduct thorough compliance checks to meet all legal, financial, and technical requirements.
*
Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and clarity through detailed proofreading and editing.
*
Review bids against evaluation criteria to maximize scoring and align with client expectations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
*
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
*
Facilitate internal discussions to clarify bid strategies and ensure team alignment.
*
Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical audiences.
Bid Strategy and Development:
*
Identify strengths and opportunities for improvement in bid processes.
*
Contribute to win themes that differentiate bids through innovation and unique service offerings.
Documentation and Content Management:
*
Maintain a library of bid templates, case studies, and standardized content for efficiency.
*
Document lessons learned to continuously enhance future bids.
*
Support the wider business development team with various tasks as needed.
About You:
Qualifications:
*
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Essential Skills & Competencies:
*
Strong experience in technical documentation and proposal writing.
*
Familiarity with the Shipley business winning process or equivalent.
*
Proven ability to produce high-quality documentation under tight deadlines.
*
Excellent writing and communication skills, with a persuasive and concise approach.
*
Strong analytical skills for gathering and enhancing bid content.
*
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
*
Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all submissions.
*
Strong teamwork capabilities across departments.
*
Creative approach when developing proposals.
