Key Responsibilities:

A Strategic Buyer supporting a Procurement Manager looking after the Logistics category
Run tenders working with operation teams, drivers, and other stakeholders across business with a focus on sustainability of delivery which will have a huge impact on the business
Strategic focus - reduce cost , bring new ideas, support in executing category strategy
Proactive in building relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and demonstrating the value procurement can add

Key Skills:

Curiosity, getting under the skin of BAU and an ability to see how BAU fits with the future category strategy
Strategic buying experience is essential
Analytical abilities - able to do an opportunity assessment and make recommendations
Organised and structured in approach
Ability to work with ambiguity and in a fast paced environment
Strong stakeholder management skills
CIPS or a desire to do CIPS
