Our Lincolnshire based client is a prominent supplier in the sofabed and upholstered furniture industry, collaborating with a diverse client base including online retailers, independent stores, and interior designers. As the company expands, they are looking for a passionate Product Developer to help bring innovative and high-quality furniture designs to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership: Lead the development of new furniture designs in collaboration with internal and customer design teams, aligning with customer briefs and brand direction.
Customer Collaboration: Work closely with customer teams on exclusive developments, refining design briefs for production.
Market Insight: Analyse market trends and customer feedback to guide design decisions.
Factory Partnership: Collaborate with partner factories to ensure product specifications are met, focusing on quality and production efficiency.
Technical Expertise: Utilise design software (CAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks) to create detailed models and technical drawings for production.
Prototyping Management: Oversee the prototype and sampling phase, ensuring design and quality standards are met.
Sustainability Focus: Advocate for sustainable materials and practices in furniture design.
Continuous Improvement: Analyse customer feedback to enhance product designs and work with factories on corrective actions. Skills & Experience:

Minimum of a year’s experience in product development or furniture design.
Experience with Far East suppliers and willingness to travel as needed.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and CAD software (SketchUp, SolidWorks).
Understanding of furniture production processes and materials.
Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and organizational skills.
Strong collaboration and relationship management abilities. Nice to Have:

Degree in Furniture Design, Product Development, or related fields (advantageous but not essential). In return our client offers a comprehensive benefits package.
