Freelance Senior Design Manager - Coventry 

We’re seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead and oversee the design process for a Tier 1 contractor on a £200m + project. In this role, you'll drive innovation, ensure design excellence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring projects to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the design process during the pre-construction phase and, if required, the construction phase.

• Review Employer's Requirements and develop Contractor's Proposals in collaboration with internal teams.

• Coordinate, interrogate, and integrate the activities of external design consultants.

• Ensure designs are delivered on time and meet programme timescales and quality standards.

• Drive innovative and cost-effective solutions into the design process.

• Oversee compliance with Building Regulations and Planning Permission procedures.

Requirements:

• Experience delivering high-value, complex design projects from a main contractor perspective.

• Strong organisational, planning, and workload management skills.

• Understanding of Building Regulations, Planning Permission procedures, and DFE projects.

• Site/contract experience needed.

Please note this role will be Umbrella PAYE inside IR35
