Principal People are working with a multi disciplined principal contractor that carries out a wide variety of works within the construction industry in both the commercial and residential sectors with long-standing clients and a diverse portfolio of 10-15 live projects at any one time, across East Anglia.

The role is managing a Health and Safety Trainee allowing you to support, mentor and develop an up-and-coming health and safety professional in the industry.

The role reports directly to the board, allowing you to make the role your own and drive forward the health and safety culture of the business.

The Successful Safety, HSEQ Manager will be responsible for:

Strategic Leadership: Advise the Board of Directors on HSEQ strategy and ensure alignment with business objectives.
HSQE Policies and Systems: Develop, review, and maintain HSQE policies and the Integrated Business Management System, including ISO 9001, 14001, & 45001 auditing.
Risk Assessment & Safety Procedures: Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures based on identified hazards; support site teams in creating RAMS.
Site Inspections and Compliance: Perform monthly safety inspections, ensure compliance with accreditations and follow up on corrective actions.
Training and Upskilling: Manage and deliver training for staff on safety, health, and environmental risks, promoting safe working practices.
Incident Management: Investigate accidents/incidents, produce reports, complete RIDDOR reports, and monitor occupational health.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, assist with site documentation, and manage induction portals and sub-contractor registers. The Successful HSEQ Manager will hold;

NEBOSH Construction/General or equivalent.
Experience in any construction sector.
CDM experience and knowledge. In return, the Successful HSEQ Manager will receive:

Salary up to £65,000.
Company EV Vehicle.
Annual leave of 23 days + Bank Holidays.
8% Pension.
