A company specialising in the design and manufacture of innovative, high-performance engineering solutions id looking for an accomplished engineering leader to manage their Engineering Department. This role, involves overseeing a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians, ensuring high-quality technical output and efficient project execution.

About the Role

As Head of Engineering, you will lead a team across mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic disciplines. You should have a strong technical background, ideally in electro-mechanical or related engineering fields, and extensive experience in end-to-end product development, including project management, design, V&V, certification, and manufacturing transition.

This role requires a proactive leader with strong problem-solving and project management skills, able to drive team motivation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within time and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Engineering Design team across multiple disciplines.

Oversee planning, scheduling, and project delivery.

Manage departmental budgets and conduct performance reviews.

Provide technical direction and oversee design reviews and V&V processes.

Contribute to product development and lifecycle management.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

At least five years of experience in senior engineering management.

Proven success in managing multi-disciplinary technical teams.

Strong financial management and budget-setting experience.

Experience in Defence, Automation, Medical Equipment, Transport, Energy, or Communications sectors.

Knowledge of product design compliance and international standards.
