Are you a Project Manager with experience delivering smart building or BMS (Building Management System) projects? Our client is expanding, and we’re looking for a dynamic and technically-minded Intelligent Buildings Project Manager to join theirr specialist team.
A leading smart buildings company is seeking an experienced Intelligent Buildings Project Manager to deliver cutting-edge BMS (Building Management System) and building automation projects across defence, education, healthcare, and justice sectors.
This organisation is responsible for delivering some of Europe’s most intelligent buildings, including a secure accommodation scheme for the Ministry of Defence that integrates over 21,000 data points across HVAC, lighting, access control, and more. Their work sets new benchmarks in energy efficiency, user experience, and system integration.
The successful Project Manager will take ownership of planning, coordinating, and delivering building technology projects from design through to commissioning. This includes managing resources, contractors, technical teams, and client relationships, ensuring all systems are integrated to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full project lifecycle for BMS and building automation systems
*
Oversee installation, integration, and commissioning of control systems (KNX, BACnet, ModBus, DALI, etc.)
*
Lead technical teams and third-party contractors
*
Act as the client’s main point of contact throughout delivery
*
Ensure handover documentation and O&M packs are accurate and complete
Ideal Candidate:
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager within BMS or intelligent buildings
*
Strong understanding of building automation systems and communication protocols
*
Confident managing technical teams and project stakeholders
*
Excellent organisational and client-facing skills
