Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join our team in Motherwell. In this role, you will prepare accurate repair estimates in line with insurer and customer requirements, ensuring repair efficiency and maintaining profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating:

* Prepare detailed manual and computerised estimates that meet insurer and customer standards.

* Uphold excellent customer care and satisfaction through precise and efficient work.

*

Parts Management:

* Order parts as required, ensuring accuracy and timely availability for repairs.

* Inspect received parts (genuine, non-genuine, or second-hand) for suitability, label them appropriately, and ensure traceability.

* Return incorrect or unnecessary parts as needed.

*

File and Authoristion Management:

* Maintain organized records of all estimates and track unauthorized work.

* Obtain approvals for repairs before work begins and follow up on pending authorizations.

Collaboration:

* Work closely with body shop personnel to communicate repair requirements clearly.

* Notify the team if a vehicle is classified as a "total loss" in agreement with the insurer.

*

Health and Safety:

* Follow all Health and Safety regulations and workplace policies applicable to the role.

Technical Knowledge

* The required technical knowledge will be discussed and agreed upon with your manager or team leader.

Additional Duties

* Perform other reasonable tasks or duties within your abilities, as directed by senior management.

Required Skills & Experience

* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Vehicle Damage Assessor role.

* ATA qualification is preferred but not essential.

* Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality work.

* Excellent organisational and communication skills.

* A valid driving license.
