We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Engineer for a permanent position in Brierley Hill. You will play a key part in ensuring the reliability of machinery, conducting inspections, troubleshooting faults, and maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Salary: £39,000 - £40,000 per year (including shift allowance)

Hours: 37.5 per week (rotating weekly shifts - 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm)

Overtime: Plenty of overtime available at an enhanced rate, with a preference for alternating weekends

Essential Requirements:

*

Experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Engineer

*

Experience working in a heavy engineering environment

*

Solid experience with hydraulics or pneumatics

*

Any electrical skills are a bonus

*

Right to work in the UK

*

Fit and able to work in a physically demanding position

Key Responsibilities:

*

Maintain and repair mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance

*

Conduct inspections and diagnose faults in machinery and equipment

*

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance

*

Repair or replace hydraulic and pneumatic components

*

Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints

*

Work closely with engineering teams to execute complex maintenance tasks

*

Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

*

Carry out welding and fabrication work when required
