A new opportunity has become available for an experienced garment technologist in our Manchester office, based in Salford. The succesful person will be responsible for meeting the quality and safety regulations set out by a portfolio of CBD customers, and working closely with the Senior Garment Technologist in driving efficiencies and promoting strong working relationships with client accounts and suppliers.
Responsibilities
Responsible for achieving all technical Critical Path dates.
Check first fit/red & gold seals and send to customer along with necessary paperwork/specifications for approval. Highlight any issues to the Senior Garment Technologist
Attend handover meetings.
Attend CP meetings with factories/India office to monitor style progression and pick up any issues as early as possible.
Ensure that factories are manufacturing in accordance to Cooneen and customer guidelines and provide technical support.
Complete customer work books and paperwork.
Advise the factory with any pattern queries as required.
Ensure all information is uploaded onto customer online systems.
Attend customer PP and fit meetings as required.
Responsible for ensuring all testing and safety requirements are met according to the customer and cooneen standards
Check and approve the factory AQL & needle/metal detection reports and inform the Senior Garment Technologist of any issues.
Identify opportunities for improving the method of operation in your area of responsibility.
Any other duties deemed necessary by management.
Observe all Company Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Harassment, Disciplinary and ICT Security.
Maximize efficiency by supporting Cooneen Lean continuous improvement activities

Requirements
Essential
Experience of a garment technology role
Experienced in the use of MS office 365 package, particularly MS Word, Excel (intermediate level), PowerPoint, and Sharepoint.
Has previous experience of dealing with clients (accounts and suppliers)
Previous experience of pattern development / grading.
Desirable
3rd level qualification in Fashion and Textiles or related subject.
Experience of Browzwear or equivalent 3D software
QC experience of garments & fabric.
Experience of Childrenswear products, day/ nightwear.
A clothing technology related qualification.
Clean current driving licence.
