Temporary (6 months, role to start in January 2025), Part Time (20 hours per week)

£50 - £55 per hour

The Opportunity

Join our Client as a Property Solicitor and play a crucial role in delivering high-quality legal services. You will manage a diverse caseload encompassing property law and other legal matters critical to operations and external clients.

Accountabilities

* Manage a caseload focusing on property matters, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.

* Conduct legal research and provide advice on property and local government law.

* Negotiate on behalf of the Client in property transactions.

* Draft a variety of legal documents including leases, agreements, and reports.

* Support Committee meetings and provide legal expertise as required.

* Maintain and update legal documents and procedures, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

* Provide regular management information and contribute to performance standards.

The Experience You Will Bring

* Qualified Solicitor, Cilex Fellow, or Barrister.

* Extensive experience in property law, handling transactions, agreements, and complex legal issues.

* Proficiency in drafting legal documents and providing clear, pragmatic advice.

* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Ability to work effectively in a team and liaise with senior officers and elected members.
