Job Title: Technical Service Manager (Telematics)

Location: London (SE18)

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

About Us: GTS Transportation is excited to announce an opportunity for a Technical Service Manager to join our client's innovative telematics team. This role will be based from their London office, working on site occasionally across the South of the UK. You will play a pivotal role in the growth and success of a cutting-edge vehicle technology company.

About the Role: As the Technical Service Manager, you will be the engineering lead for all operations and projects, ensuring that our client's vehicle technology solutions are delivered with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will manage in-house field service engineers, coordinate with sub-contractors, and serve as the main point of contact for customers on technical matters. This is an exciting and varied role that involves:

Overseeing the booking and scheduling of installation and service work.
Managing project timelines and resources, including vehicle and equipment allocation.
Creating technical specifications and training guides for engineering activities.
Auditing and training engineers to maintain health and safety standards and job workmanship.
Supporting the development and rollout of new technologies.
Providing hands-on technical support for hardware and vehicle installations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage field service engineers and sub-contractors.
Ensure timely and efficient completion of installation and service projects.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
Conduct site visits and provide direct support for complex installations.
Collaborate with the R&D team on testing and deploying new technologies.

Requirements:

Experience in the Telematics industry, with a focus on commercial vehicles.
Proven track record in managing engineering projects and meeting deadlines.
Strong customer service skills with experience in client-facing roles.
IT literate and capable of creating detailed technical documentation.
Full UK driving licence (preferably clean).
Auto-Electrical qualification preferred but not essential.
