Storesperson

Location: Quedgeley

Hours: Full time, day shift (early finish on Friday)

Salary: Competitive based on experience

Key Responsibilities of a Storesperson:

* Control stock within the stores

* Carry out receipt and issues for goods going into & out of the stores

* Ensure that all goods are booked in accurately and transferred and kitted as required within defined timeframes

* Ensure that all required documentation is dispatched with the goods

* Conduct perpetual inventory measurements and stock adjustments as needed

* Perform goods-in visual inspections to check for defects or damage

* Identify stock shortages and manage replenishment

* Correctly kit works order components and materials, making necessary changes to valve structures

* Enter information into the MRP system

* Prepare documents in line with company processes, including goods received notes, route cards, and non-conformance reports

* Use a forklift truck (FLT) to unload deliveries and move stock

* Operate an overhead crane as required

* Maintain high housekeeping standards in the stores area

* Follow company procedures and suggest improvements where necessary

Key Skills of a Storesperson:

* Minimum 1 year of stores experience, ideally in a mechanical engineering environment

* Valid FLT licence and experience using an overhead crane

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages

* Ability to read and interpret documents

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

* Effective time management
