About the Role
Academics are working with a fantastic school in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, to find an exceptional SEN Teacher for a long-term position starting in January 2025. This school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for students with a range of Special Educational Needs, from mild to complex. The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring, motivated, and innovative teacher with a passion for supporting students with SEN/SEMH. You will be dedicated to ensuring that all students achieve their full potential, both academically and personally, through high-quality teaching, pastoral care, and curriculum development. Previous experience working with students with SEND is essential, and a commitment to creating an inclusive, empowering environment is key.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality teaching to students across KS2, with a focus on SEN/SEMH needs.
Develop and implement individualised learning plans in collaboration with colleagues and allied health professionals.
Ensure safeguarding and promote the welfare of all students.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support the curriculum and meet the needs of students.
Work alongside a team of professionals to develop curriculum excellence and provide a broad range of life-changing experiences for students.
Encourage the development of speech, language, and communication skills across the school.What We're Looking For

Passion for working with children with SEN/SEMH, and the desire to make a lasting difference.
Experience in teaching students with SEND at the primary level, particularly in KS2.
A proactive and collaborative approach to working within a team.
Strong focus on oracy and communication development.
