The role
Based at our clients brand new state of the art site in Greater Manchester reporting into the Engineering Manager, you will take responsibility for engineering repair, corrective and planned preventative maintenance of the site.
You will be expected to react to the workload required to meet the day-to-day engineering tasks and activities required to ensure line performance is at its maximum with the guidance of the engineering manager.
The Engineer role will provide key operational support to the Engineering Manager to deliver performance and engineering KPI’s. You will be expected to escalate breakdowns in a timely manner and inform all stakeholders of the completion of work on any escalated incident. Working closely with the Engineering Management team to contribute and assist with the development of our people, processes and systems to deliver reliable and stable performance of the Engineering function.
The person
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience track record in an engineering and fault finding role gained from a FMCG environment (ideally the food industry), a good understanding of HACCP principles and ideally IEE qualification up to 18th edition wiring regulations, qualifications to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering), as well as the ability to work at pace.
