About the Company

I am collaborating with a prestigious construction and engineering contractor based in Warrington, recognised for delivering high-quality projects across the UK. Due to ongoing expansion, they are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team and contribute to various projects throughout the North West.

The Role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the commercial team, assisting with cost management, contract administration, and financial reporting. This position provides a great opportunity for career growth and hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Assisting in cost estimates, budgets, and valuations
✔ Supporting subcontractor procurement and payments
✔ Conducting risk assessments and value engineering
✔ Monitoring project costs and profitability
✔ Helping to negotiate contracts and manage variations
✔ Assisting in the preparation and submission of final accounts

Requirements

? Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related field
? Some experience in construction or engineering (preferred but not essential)
? Knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts is an advantage
? Strong numerical and analytical skills
? Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
? Eager to learn and develop within the role
