Description

We’re looking for a Senior Engineer with expertise in solar/BESS.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, engineering, and deployment of solar solutions, ensuring the successful delivery of systems that adhere to both technical specifications, regulatory standards and SAT/FAT compliance.

As an ideal candidate, you have 5+ years of experience in energy storage technologies, system design (CAD and SCADA), and integration with solar, and a strong technical background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with experience in solar design and project management. Moreover, your experience with regulatory standards and grid compliance is a key asset.

Education Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field

* Relevant certifications in renewable energy are a plus

Experience Requirements

* 5+ years in solar PV and energy storage design and delivery, with strong technical expertise in renewable energy systems

* Proficient in electrical and mechanical design, including low and medium-voltage systems, adhering to industry standards

* Advanced CAD and SCADA design skills for creating detailed system layouts and control specifications

* Strong understanding of electrical protection and earthing systems

* Project management experience, overseeing engineering deliverables and ensuring quality and timely completion

* Familiarity with international standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with both local and global requirements

* Experience providing technical support across all project phases, from design through to commissioning and operations

* Proficiency in using AUTOCAD, PVSyst, DigSilent, and Homer software for system design and analysis

Responsibilities

* Lead the electrical and mechanical design of low and medium voltage systems

* Oversee the creation and delivery of engineering documents, including design specifications, technical reports, and drawings

* Ensure that all systems comply with relevant national and international regulations, facilitating both SAT and FAT as needed

* Design and specify electrical protection systems and earthing systems in compliance with industry safety standards

* Support the preparation of comprehensive technical documentation for tender submissions, proposals, and ongoing project phases

* Conduct industry research

* Collaborate with teams across different functions, including project management, procurement, and operations
