We are looking for a dedicated HLTA Inclusion Lead on behalf of a dynamic and supportive secondary school that is committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity and academic excellence.
As the HLTA Inclusion Lead, you will work closely with teachers, support staff, and students to support and implement the school’s inclusion strategy. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring that students with additional needs receive tailored support to reach their potential, enabling them to fully participate in school life and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted support to students with diverse needs, adapting resources and interventions to enhance their learning experience
Develop and lead on individual and group interventions to promote inclusive practices
Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to create and implement individual learning plans
Support and mentor teaching assistants in delivering high-quality support
Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
Champion an inclusive school culture, ensuring all students feel valued and supported
What We’re Looking For:
HLTA qualification (or equivalent) with experience in supporting students with additional needs
Strong understanding of inclusion practices within a secondary school environment
Ability to lead, motivate, and work collaboratively with staff to achieve common goals
Exceptional communication skills, patience, and empathy
A proactive approach, always looking for ways to improve and innovate
